Numerical Solution of Functional Differential Equations using Legendre Wavelet Method
In this paper, the objective is to solve the functional differential equations in the following form using Legendre Wavelet Method (LWM), 0 f 0 u(t)=f(t ,u( t) ,u( (t))), t t t u( t)= (t), t t ′ α ≤ ≤ φ ≤ (1) where ƒ: [t0, tƒ]×R→R is a smooth function, α(t) is a continuous function on [t0, tƒ] and φ(t)∈C represents the initial point or the initial data. In the present paper, the most impo...
متن کاملA Legendre-gauss Collocation Method for Nonlinear Delay Differential Equations
In this paper, we introduce an efficient Legendre-Gauss collocation method for solving nonlinear delay differential equations with variable delay. We analyze the convergence of the single-step and multi-domain versions of the proposed method, and show that the scheme enjoys high order accuracy and can be implemented in a stable and efficient manner. We also make numerical comparison with other ...
متن کاملNonlinear Ordinary Differential Equations
Most physical processes are modeled by differential equations. First order ordinary differential equations, also known as dynamical systems, arise in a wide range of applications, including population dynamics, mechanical systems, planetary motion, ecology, chemical diffusion, etc., etc. See [19, 72,ODES] for additional material and applications. The goal of this chapter is to study and solve i...
متن کاملThe Legendre Wavelet Method for Solving Singular Integro-differential Equations
In this paper, we present Legendre wavelet method to obtain numerical solution of a singular integro-differential equation. The singularity is assumed to be of the Cauchy type. The numerical results obtained by the present method compare favorably with those obtained by various Galerkin methods earlier in the literature.
متن کاملOrder Ordinary Differential Equations
The DI methods for directly solving a system ofa general higher order ODEs are discussed. The convergence of the constant stepsize and constant order formulation of the DI methods is proven first before the convergencefor the variable order and stepsize case.
